Dal 5 gennaio al 4 febbraio, l’UE ha fissato uno sportello online per raccogliere feedback da parte dei cittadini europei per stabilire il massimo livello di THC presente nei mangimi per animali. Come sappiamo, la canapa viene spesso utilizzata come alimento per gli animali; pertanto, per evitare un veto anche nel settore della mangimistica, e magari allargare il consumo anche ad altre parti della pianta, EIHA – European Industrial Hemp Association – si rivolge a ricercatori, stakeholders e associazioni locali europee, come Federcanapa, per raccogliere dati e ricerche riguardo i livelli accettabili di THC contenuti.

EIHA urges stakeholders and associations to submit feedback on maximum levels of THC in feed!
With the scope of changing the THC values for feed in the EU provided by the European Commission, EIHA has submitted feedback, built a position paper – which can also be found in the members platform – and is now requesting support from other associations and stakeholders. The Commission has opened a platform for submitting comments on the current proposal for Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) levels in feed material. The link for contributions can be found here.
EIHA is currently seeking active support from stakeholders and other EU associations and encouraging collaboration among national associations within countries for a joint response. This coordinated effort aims to demonstrate unity and strengthen the collective position in front of authorities. EIHA is stressing the importance of stakeholders’ participation in voicing concerns and suggestions, emphasizing that their involvement is crucial in influencing a more favorable outcome for all stakeholders involved in shaping THC levels in feed material regulations.
